A Thought About the "Holiday"

I was thinking about the "holiday" recently observed -- Rosh Hashana -- also known in the Scriptures as "Feast of Trumpets".

It's rarely mentioned in churches today, though it should be. I won't go into more detail about the Biblical holiday, except for this wonderful picture.

Picture the Bridegroom anxiously waiting for the day when he can go claim his Bride. That is the picture of Rosh Hashana, the Feast of Trumpets.

You can excuse me for the personal thought here -- the thought of our son the Bridegroom, off in a distant land of Japan, anxiously waiting for the day when he can head to Bogota to claim his bride.

He'll have to wait for just a few weeks. Our Lord has been waiting for 2,000 years to claim His Bride. Talk about "anticipation"!!
