One of our fun parts of living in Country Lakes is stopping to feed and enjoy the ducks and geese. We have one family of domestic geese, another big family of Canadian geese who stopped by to have babies this spring and so far have chosen to stay. Plus lots and lots of ducks. One mama duck had 13 babies in the spring.

We're one of several Country Lakes residents here who like to feed the ducks and geese. We have a 50-pound bag of cracked corn just for that purpose. I think some guy named Jimmy might have cracked it, but I really don't care.

All we have to do is drive up to the entry area and they come running. I think there's a slight chance the ducks and geese have become adjusted to the feeding they get from everyone. Recently when I was leaving for work early one morning they were all lined up along the exit just in case anyone might have some breakfast for them.
