It's hard to imagine that it is time for Thanksgiving Day! Except for one "Texas Cold Front" when temperaturs dropped all the way into the mid-60's(!), it has been just like summer here with temperaturs in the upper 70's. It's 78 this afternoon!
How can it possibly be time for Thanksgiving? I'm used to having our first good snow of the season by Thanksgiving, sitting on an icy roof as I put up Christmas lights. There won't be any of that this year! We're in warm, sunny Texas, for sure!
I've already had one Thanksgiving Day this year. I was in Calgary, Alberta, Canada on the Canadian Thanksgiving Day in October. Yes, they have turkey and dressing and family gatherings there too.
Actually I try to give thanks every day. It's a good practice. Biblical, too! "In every thing give thanks for this is the will of God..."
More about this as time permits this week.
Have a Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving!
