It's Tuesday night and I've been working in Calgary all day. We went downtown to two or our customer's headquarters where we keep some stock -- met with the various technicians, conducted our audit.
As we were leaving the Petro-Canada headquarters I took some pictures of the downtown area. They have the enclosed elevated walkways just like Minneapolis -- of course this is much farther north than Minneapolis. Here in Calgary they call them +15 for the walkways on the first elevated level, and +30 for some that are twice as high. One of my coworkers here started talking about "taking the Plus 15 to get to the office" -- I asked what that was and she told me.

The wind here is just like what we had in NW Oklahoma and Texas, so I'm sure those walkways are really nice in the winter. I was here a year ago in February and it was COLD, with high wind and hard blowing snow. That would have been a good day for the walkway, but I wasn't downtown then.
The beautiful autumn colors sure do make me miss Minnesota and how beautiful the autumns are! There's just nothing like it. I'm hoping to see some of the fall colors on the drive to Edmonton tomorrow.

We walked by the base of the Calgary Tower. I'll try to get a long-distance shot of it later. It's right in the middle of downtown and has a revolving restaurant at the top, along with an observation deck. But we didn't take time to go up there.
