It's Friday morning and we are in COLD Des Moines (that's in Iowa if you're not sure -- when I called Best Western reservations, the guy that answered and was taking my reservation didn't know and had to have it spelled out!). We're on our way to COLDER Minnesota to get our car and other things left behind in the initial move. High temp for the weekend is forecast to be 15 -- about the same as when we packed to move at the end of November.
The purpose of my note today is to ask your prayers again for Joanne. She got a bit better this week and went home from the hospital Wednesday afternoon. When I talked with her Thursday she was still feeling very rough with respiratory problems. By Thursday evening they had to call for an ambulance and have her transported back to the hospital.
I'll update you again this evening - we'll be traveling northbound for the next few hours and will be reachable only by my new cell phone number.
