Saturday in the Winter Wonderland

We're in COLD Elk River MN today. Most of the day the temperature was single digit -- 4 to 7 degrees! That's cold -- and that's what the temperature was when we were in our old neighborhood loading the U-Haul trailer and getting the Camry ready to drive. By evening the cloud cover helped the temperature go up all the way to 13. Weather forecast for our drive home is rough right now and we're watching it regularly to see where and how far we can go without getting into the ice storm. Here's hoping and praying that roads clear by the time we get there.

We've been very blessed to be able to stay in the home of our wonderful friends, Wayne & Linda. It's been great to be with friends and enjoy some warm time together. Wayne helped me load the trailer this afternoon, too! We enjoyed getting to see Kristin and her kids, and Glen and Gina this afternoon. Their children have grown so much in our years in Elk River -- we love them all!

What about Joanne? I talked with her this afternoon. She sounded MUCH better. She will be having a treatment done on her heart Monday -- follow-up to her heart attack and designed to help the healing process. Monday would be a very good day to pray for her! Her room number changed from 228 to 222, so remember that if you start to call her. Call me if unsure about the number.

Pray for Joanne -- and for us as we begin the cold drive home. More news when we can.

Sunday morning we'll be back in our Northwood Church in Maple Grove -- we're looking forward to seeing our good friends there and participating in a Godly time of worship. Then we'll have lunch and head southbound.

Blessings to you and yours!
