Today I have good news and "not so good" news about Mike & Joanne.
First the Good News: Today is Mike & Joanne's 35th Wedding Anniversary! Congratulations to both of you on an outstanding accomplishment. Their wedding was in Tulsa OK. We had a wild drive from Texas (I was in school at Dallas Baptist College at the time) in preparation for the wedding -- riding in an old Chevrolet station wagon (you young guys who don't know what a station wagon was -- well, you just missed it. Imagine a very short (in height, not length) SUV -- no small cars -- sort of related to a tank). One by one we climbed into the back of the station wagon and changed clothes as we drove up the Turner Turnpike. But when we got there, the wedding was a beautiful event. The Bride and Groom were one happy couple, filled with all the joy and anticipation of their wedding.
Now for the "Not So Good" news -- Joanne spent her anniversary in the hospital in St. Charles MO. I believe she was admitted sometime Saturday. Please mention Joanne and Mike in your prayers. I'll keep you posted here as she progresses.
Thanks for your prayers. And again, congratulations to Mike and Joanne on their 35th Anniversary!!

I remember their wedding very well. Most of all, I remember running into the church with only shoes and a winter coat and my flower girl dress was placed over my head as soon as I got inside. Then I was whisked down the aisle. I also remember picture time, but not much more than that.
