How About Those Cowboys!

I'm in Winston Salem, North Carolina tonight, preparing to audit one of our locations Friday morning. I should be back home by Friday evening. As I was driving from the Charlotte NC airport to Winston Salem tonight I heard on the radio that Oklahoma State University had played Alabama this evening in the Independence Bowl. And OSU won over the Crimson Tide. That had to be a super game and an exciting night for OSU.

According to our calendar, we start a new year this weekend! Have a Happy New Year this weekend and a Blessed New Year all year!

With the start of the new year on the calendar millions of people set new dreams and plans and hopes for the new year. Unfortunately most of them fail and return to the same track within days. In my Elk River Weight Watcher group, we usually had 30-45 people attend each week. But at the first of last year that number swelled to over 80 who had all those dreams of losing weight. But by the first of February we were back to about the same attendance as before. The others gave up and dropped out.

By the way, I'm still at it -- I've found a local group in Texas and will join their meetings next week. And I'll still be there in February. And March. Probably for a long time. It's really helped.

Whatever your hopes or dreams are for 2007, make a plan and go for it. And don't quit.

Just me said...

I do hope to get back on the WW wagon again soon. It sure is hard to get back in gear after falling off for awhile. Actually I only made it to one meeting after getting married. Cooking more for my hubby, being happy, and taking steroids for asthma put me over on my goal so now if I go back, I pay again. So now I have a decision to make.... Do I pay weekly and go to the meetings where I would get so inspired and pumped up about meeting my goal, or do I try to go it alone with 2 friends at work? We set a goal to begin when we return to work after the new year.

Happy New Year to you!!!

Yeah OSU!!!

Love,
Me
