The End of a Very Nice Day

There's time for just a few more pictures of this Christmas Day, then it's back to work tomorrow. Debbie wanted to show the very soft pink robe she received for Christmas.

Debbie spent most of the afternoon in her new kitchen preparing a fantastic Christmas dinner for the 3 of us. She started off with a little bitty turkey that got very big when she baked it, plus the dressing, giblet gravy, sweet potatos, broccoli, and two delicious pies. What a meal! What a way to top off a great Christmas Day.

It's been a wonderful day here at the new Russell home in Argyle and I hope it's been a great day for you and yours too!
For you who haven't sampled one of Debbie's delicious pies, I'm including a special picture just so you can try to imagine. Remember, this is the lady who was Grand Champion Pie Baker at the Payne County Fair when we lived in Stillwater OK for her lemon meringue pie. Today's wonderful pies were pumpkin and pecan.

Just me said...

Debbie's new robe looks so soft and cuddly warm. All that food looks great!

I started a new tradition of breakfast for Christmas morning and then made a roast with tators and carrots rather than the traditional ham or turkey. We usually have breakfast every day, but this was a special breakfast that we all shared together and it was yummy!
