It's Friday morning and right now there are thousands of people lining the streets of downtown Minneapolis around the Target Center, all in line to try out for American Idol. Some have been interviewed on TV news and every one of them thinks they are the one who can win the competition this year. Of course out of all those thousands of people, maybe as many as ONE might be chosen to move ahead in the next level of competition.
Debbie and I decided to pass on it this year! The fact that there is an upper age limit of 29 surely had nothing to do with that decision. (Hey, with that age limit, how did that funky old guy with the grey hair get in to win it last year?)!
For anyone who is "waiting in line" to try out for Heaven, I have good news for you. "There is therefore no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus...". It's not what you do or how good you sing -- in this case it really is "WHO" you know.
