A few days ago I wrote a note that we needed to sell our house soon or else I would wind up raking leaves again. Yesterday morning I looked out the window and saw a slight shade of yellow showing up on one leaf. And today, look how it has spread already!
Over the next 5 weeks, every one of these thousands of leaves will go through various shades of beautiful fall colors -- and then fall to the ground. And then I'll get to rake them, put them in bags and figure out what to do with them. Last year I mulched and used 6 bags, then hauled off 22 bags -- those big contractor size bags, packed full of leaves. Will I get to do it again this year?
This Sunday is Open House! Here's hoping!
