It's been a very pleasant "blessing" day today. After a really great Labor Day weekend, I spent most of the week "trouble-shooting" on the job with various system problems and quarterly reporting. By the time 4 days were completed, I was pretty exhausted and needed a good "recharging" Saturday.
I started the day catching up with some blogging as you could tell in the blogs below. Then I started the project list for our home. In preparation for a week away I cleaned up the yard, edged and mowed it. Then spent some time continuing the garage clean-up in hopes of getting the cars inside by the end of September. After a quick shower to freshen up, the day got much better from there on.
My Sweet Bride and I made a stop at the mall -- I needed some new slacks for my business travel this week. Then we just walked the mall for a little while -- nice, slow and refreshing -- shared an 'Auntie Anne's pretzel' and a Dr. Pepper, then moved on. Home Depot was next for some fall color to plant in the front flower bed. After a stop at Panera Bread for a light supper and a stop at PetSmart for 'supper' for Gabriel and Callie the Cat (their's will last much longer than ours), we headed home.
You know, I just really enjoy "hanging out" with Debbie. It doesn't really matter what we do -- I just enjoy it. That makes any day relaxing and refreshing. God really blessed me when He called me to be her husband!
Sunday morning we plan to drive over to Frisco TX to worship at the Stonebriar Church where Charles Swindoll is Pastor and where Denver and the Mile High orchestra will be leading the worship time. We love their special 'flavor' with the old favorite songs. I'll tell you more about that tomorrow.
Blessings to you and yours tonight.
