This is just a quick note to tell you about our terrific evening on Sunday! We returned to the Stonebriar Church for their evening service which actually was a concert by "Denver and the Mile High Orchestra". We saw them in concert 3 times in Minnesota and loved them and their music. One of those concerts was a Christmas concert. Try to imagine "Jingle Bells" set to Big Band style!
They take good Christ-centered music and set it to a "Big Band" style of music - so very unique from the normal -- so enjoyable, and yet so full of great worship. This is a perfect fit for us -- we both love Big Band music and we both love the Lord and love singing praises to Him.
No, they're not from Denver CO. Denver is the name of the leader -- Denver Beirman. He grew up in Indiana and lives in Nashville now.
I took a lot of pictures without flash tonight -- only a few of them can be posted without some work due to being sort of blurry. I hope you enjoy these, including the one of Denver, Debbie and me.
Hey, we got to sit right on the front row almost in the middle -- great seats for a great evening!
