This time it was JD and me. We made great progress and finished the painting by mid-afternoon. We had one "small" soffit repair to do -- which turned out to not be so small after all. But we did get it done.
Well, the truth is that as we rebuilt the soffit, we ran out of daylight. We put on the finishing touches on Sunday afternoon after church and lunch. That bright spot above my head is not just a sign of a bright idea, and it's not a reflection off my head. That's the moon shining bright, though not with enough light for us to finish the project.
That JD is a real trooper! He stayed at it with lots of creative ideas that worked so that we could rebuild a formerly rotten soffit. And I really did appreciate that.
I was thrilled to get back home and go back to work the next day so I could get some rest!
