It's Tuesday evening and Debbie is back in Hugo caring for her Mom during these last days. We anticipate that just about any time now that she will be carried into the arms of our Lord. I'll post a note here when that happens.
I've mentioned before that she had been in Hugo since we returned from our visit to St. Louis when we had such a nice visit with Joanne and Mike. Debbie has such a strong desire to care for her Mom with some good TLC pampering.
My purpose for writing this note tonight is just to say how much I enjoyed two nights and one day since this past weekend. On Saturday I drove to Hugo to visit Debbie and her Mom. Then as I was preparing to leave Sunday afternoon, Debbie accepted my invitation to come home for a short break to get some rest.
You know, I really do miss that Sweet Bride of mine when she is away! Just having her home for Sunday night, all day Monday and Monday night before she returned to Hugo today -- was wonderful! I'm so happy that she is able to be there to care for her Mom. But I sure did enjoy her being home. We didn't do anything special. We were just together, talking, walking around the yard (yes, I gave her a personalized tour of the Argyle Forest that I pictured recently on this blog).
These next few days will be quite difficult for her and her Mom. Nothing pleasant about it except for the eternal hope that we have in Christ Jesus. And we both appreciate your prayers for Debbie and her Mom.
But soon she'll be back home again -- and this boy will sure be happy to welcome her home again!
