This Mother's Day is a bit tougher for my Precious Bride than most. Her Mom, Dorothy Scott, is very ill. She has been diagnosed with cancer in her kidneys, liver, stomach and lungs. She's been in the Hugo OK hospital all week but was taken home yesterday.
She has a hospital bed in her living room now. Debbie has been there since Tuesday morning and will stay at least a few more days. I'm leaving for Hugo right after I share this update with you to spend the rest of the weekend there. If you need to reach either of us this weekend be sure to use our cell phones. Reception is very poor at Debbie's Mom's house out in the country from Grant, a "suburb" of Hugo, but we'll be in Paris this evening.

Here's a picture of Dorothy taken on her birthday during one of her recent visits to our home. Please keep her and Debbie in your prayers. All of us can remember how difficult a time this is.
God's grace really is sufficient! Dorothy has lived in a very small house in Grant as long as I have known her, but she has a mansion waiting for her "just over the hilltop", as we used to sing! Whether that comes soon or months from now, we know what the future holds and we know Who holds our future!
