Sunday afternoon we went to the Texas State Fair with a co-worker and her husband. After the traditional stop to see Big Tex, we saw our first live Pig Race -- talk about fun! The fair included all the good stuff like new cars, everything to eat that is fried (including chicken-fried bacon)(no, we didn't try it).
(I should be able to lighten this picture when I am back at home -- I'm posting this while traveling on business).
One super treat was getting to see and hear the United States Marine Corp Drum and Bugle Corps. They are a tremendous band!
