My work team includes 24 people who report to me, scattered all over the US and Canada. This was a rough week for some on my team. Two of them lost their Moms to cancer battles; another lost a Grandpa; while another was in a serious car collision in which a passenger in the other vehicle lost their life.
Only one of the losses was local and I attended the funeral service yesterday. As I was driving toward the far south of Dallas I was southbound on I-35E. The northbound lanes were packed with evacuees from the coastal area preparing for safety for their families.
There's always a reminder for us, with the tough times that we know can come, to stay prayed up, called up, loved up, and ready for whatever may come.
