November - Come Quickly

We've been involved in this presidential campaig n for nearly two years now, with some of it starting right after the last election in 2006. Now that the two primary candidates and their vice-president candidates have been selected, we can see that it's not only going to get ugly with all the attacks, it's getting stupid too!

Did you hear the Democrat US Congressman Steve Cohen (D-Tennessee) this week who, in congress and on the record, made the dumb statement that "Jesus Christ was a community organizer and Pontius Pilate was a governor". It's always interesting to see politicians who know nothing of the scripture try to use religious-sounding statements. That statement has since been repeated by several other Dems later in the week. Oh brother.

We already know that CBS, NBC, ABC, PBS and MSNBC strongly favor Obama and that Fox News is more conservative and favors McCain. But the most important thing we can do is know what our own personal values are, pray much, and seek God's guidance for the candidate that most closely identifies with our values.

Pray much! Ignore the hype! Pray some more! Then vote!

I cannot stand political stuff for the reason it lasts way too long. Also, I cannot stand mud-slinging. All I want to know is what the candidate is planning to do while they are in office if they are elected. I do like what McCain stands for and really like his firecracker Palin.

A few guys I work with (they are old and cannot see well) think I look similar to Palin. I guess I take that as a compliment.

I can see why they might think that, when considering the peaceful expressions in your face, the bright happy glow in your eyes, and your positive outlook on life that is fed by your relationship with Christ!!
