A Fair to Remember, Finale

I know that when you read these blogs that you get the last one first. So even though this is the first one you have read about the Minnesota State Fair, it is the third and last I have written.
Our good friends Wayne & Linda, who moved to Elk River from Texas and came to Northwood where we became good friends, went with us to the fair. That made the day even more fun. They invited us to stay with them this week and that has been so nice!

There are always a lot of landscaping displays at the fair. I love this one. I doubt that it will ever happen, but I can sure picture something close to this in our backyard. One of the most fun parts of the fair are when we hear the pitches about the new products that can make life so much better. From previous fairs we have brooms and mops and a collapsing yard rake and extension cord holders -- and the fact is that we really do use them all.
This year the big product was a peeler that, when you know how, can serve up your fruits and veggies just about any way and shape you want. I can't wait for Debbie to try it out after we get home. But wait (as they always say), there's more. There's a device for making waffle cuts on fruit and veggies, a knife, a slicer and a DVD telling how to use it all. Check out Debbie's big smile.
The little guy who did the pitch was really fun. He had a great sense of humor and knew his pitch well, adding just a bit more fun to the fair.
No doubt we'll be back someday for another Minnesota State Fair.

My hubby and I will probably check out our local fair this month. I always love seeing the "goodies" they show. I've picked up a few good kitchen finds in the past few years. I'll have to keep my eyes "peeled" for the special peeler. ha ha
