Happy Mother's Day

This is Sunday, May 11, the day set aside as Mother's Day to honor our Moms. I saw an interesting article on FoxNews.com about the origin of Mother's Day. Did you know that is was 100 years ago that the first "Mother's Day" was observed? And it wasn't a Mother who started it. Mother's Day is observed in 52 countries now. Here's a link to it in case you haven't already seen it:

I'm thinking of some special Moms worthy of highest honor today:

To Debbie, My Sweetest Blessing, Mother of Travis and Kendra, Grandmother of Dylan, Ryan and Andrew, plus a wonderful "Mother Blessing" to Jamie, Becky and David and to their children!

To Jamie, a wonderful Mom to Alli and Derek. May you be blessed today in every special way. You are worthy of highest honor!

To Becky, a wonderful Mom to Tyler, Amber, Jessica, Jacob, Bethany, Rebecca, Samuel, Josiah and Isaac. What a wonderful family. You are worthy of highest honor!

To Kendra, a wonderful Mom to Dylan, Ryan and that special little one whom we will meet in November. What a special blessing! You, too, are worthy of highest honor!

To Sandra, a wonderful Mom to Andrew and who was just graduated from Texas State University yesterday. May you be blessed today -- you are worthy of highest honor!

To my Mother, Vesta Russell, now residing with our Lord in Heaven, the place of eternal highest honor!

And to Dorothy Scott, Mom to my Precious Debbie, now observing her first Mother's Day with our Lord in Heaven. She obviously did a wonderful job as a Mom -- you can see the results in her daughter, Debbie, and is now in that same place of eternal highest honor!

May this be a special day of blessing for every one of you! Every Mom is certainly worthy of highest honor!
