That Texas Snowstorm

In the previous blog where I told you about our good friend Jim Burkett, I told you about our one-day winter and snowstorm. It seemed appropriate that I would share a couple of pictures with you just so you would know I wasn't putting you on. We really did get around 6 to 7 inches of snow.
Gabriel loved it!! He had one of those giant smiles that could almost break his face. He got just as he used to in Minnesota and cut trails in the snow all over the back yard, then went back running around all of his trails. He played until I made him come back inside. It's tough on a short little guy with 4" legs when the snow is 7", but he loved it!!

The pictures were taken Thursday evening after my 2.5 hour drive home from work. I had to take them then since I was pretty sure I wouldn't get a second chance. Sure enough, the snow was all melted away by the time I got home on Friday with no indication that it had ever been there.

And that was our one-day Texas winter.
