Thankful for Special Friends

I may have mentioned to you that Debbie went to Elk River MN a week ago for the memorial service of the Mom of a special friend. She brought back some good pictures and I thought I would share a few of them with you today. As Clarence said (George's guardian angel in "It's a Wonderful Life"), no one is a failure who has good friends.

Wayne & Linda Benso live in beautiful Elk River. They moved there from Flower Mound TX just a few short years before we headed south. Last year when we were all packed up to move they invited us to join them for Thanksgiving Dinner.

Debbie is with her friend, Geryl Rogers at the Mall of America last weekend. It was Geryl's Mom who passed away the week before. They have been close friends ever since they started to work on the same day at Minnesota Institute of Public Health. At that time their office was still in Anoka MN.

One more picture for this blog -- This is Brian and Kris Doten. Brian is Pastor at Northwood Church and Kris is his Bride of 20 years. Together they are leading a blessed ministry at Northwood. In the short time they have been at Northwood the church has grown to several hundred members and regular attenders. The ministry is touching so many people. It was such a blessing for me to have a Pastor who was both an excellent Bible teacher and also a very good friend.

Today I am giving thanks for my wonderful Bride and for these special friends! I wish I had pictures of more -- I'll try to get more pictures over the next month and share them with you.
