More Weekend Pictures

We had a terrific time on celebrating birthdays in St. Louis this weekend with Joanne and Mike. Here are a few more pictures of the weekend. I may have a few more in the camera that I will download when we get home on Monday.

When Saturday arrived the heavy rain finally moved on, for which we were thankful! Joanne and Mike took us to one of their favorite areas, the Main Street shops in Saint Charles.

Joanne said that the Main Street Marketplace was one of her favorites. They had all sorts of things in there from seasonings to dips (you know, like what you stick pretzels into), plus souvenirs, a few antique-looking things and a whole lot more.

You may recall that on Joanne's birthday on May 3 we were traveling toward St. Louis. We tried to reach her by phone on the way and were not successful, so made the normal assumption that she was out doing special things with her friends.

WRONG! Joanne found a unique way to "celebrate" her birthday. She took Mike to the hospital for some pain relief for his back. As they were leaving, she had an encounter with the floor (she fell) and spent the rest of her birthday in the emergency room being checked for any injury.

I'm happy to report that so far it appears her greatest difficulty is with the pain and sore muscles from the fall. We hope nothing shows up after the fact. That's not the way to celebrate a birthday. I'm happy to tell you that the celebration got better as the weekend progressed.

We finished off the weekend with a cookout at Mike and Joanne's home with some of their good friends joining us. I should have more pictures to share with you later.

I'm in a Days Inn in Paris TX tonight while Debbie is spending the night with her Mom at the Hugo hospital. We plan to be home Monday afternoon sometime. We won't make further plans for the week until Debbie talks with her Mom's doctor in the morning. We're ready to be totally flexible.

Love and blessings to you and yours!
