"Ow, my hip hurts", said our Camry!

I now know where the toughest places are for vehicle safety in Texas. It's at the Safety Inspection Station. Saturday morning I took the Camry for its State Safety & Emmision Inspection. There was one guy ahead of me who had just moved here from Seattle, so they parked the Camry and I went to the waiting room.

A few minutes later the manager came in and asked to see the owner of the Camry and the owner of the pickup from Seattle. Turns out that when they finished the inspection on the pickup, they backed out of the bay and clipped the rear of the pickup into the left rear of our Camry. Believe it or not, they passed the car on its safety inspection, even though they had just broken out the turn signal.

I'll take it to an insurance inspection station tomorrow (I hope it's safer than the safety inspection station!) and hopefully have our Camry on the road to recovery.
