One Day of Packing to Go

Our home telephone will be disconnected Tuesday morning -- the home DSL line was disconnected today, so all online communication will come from Panera Bread or from our hotels for the rest of this adventure. We'll keep our cell phones charged up and you can reach us there. We probably won't change those cell numbers for at least 2-3 weeks.

We have one more good day of work to get everything packed up, then the loading party starts on Wednesday. After that I'll try to give an update evenings at our hotels along the way. A couple of good friends from our church are coming to help Debbie clean the house Wednesday while we load the truck, and our Worship Leader, Mark Collier, is coming to help me with truck loading. I also have some men from Emove.com coming to help as well. So all should go well. Hopefully we'll be at our hotel by early evening on Wednesday.

Some of you have already been praying for us -- and we really do appreciate it. For the last week we have heard weather forecasts of low 20's on Wednesday so we started praying hard that God would hold it off for a few hours. This evening I heard an updated forecast -- and now they say the winds have changed a bit and the very cold weather won't arrive until late Wednesday night!

[Note: It's still true -- the incidence of coincidence increases with prayer!!!]

What a wonderful God we serve!! He cares about our eternal destination. But He also cares about our day to day lives (including the weather on loading day) and wants us to come to Him in all things. So we do! I'm feeling a bit like how John must have felt when he wrote, "Behold what manner of love the Father has given unto us that we should be called the children of God!" What a wonderful thing, to know that the God Who created this entire universe and put everything in place knows us, loves us, and cares for us. And not only that, He accepts us when we come to Him and sends His Spirit to live in us to help us become all He wants us to be!

He loves you, too!

Wow!

I hope your move goes smoothly. It will be great having y'all only about 8 hours away! I believe Bruce said we have a wedding to attend in that area in May or thereabouts. We should get to see you then, Lord willing.
