Last weekend we went out to Pine Tree Apple Orchard out north of the town of White Bear Lake, north of Minneapolis. It's a beautiful area, especially at this time of the year. Their busy season with all the autumn activities actually starts next weekend, but I wanted to share some pictures from the orchard. Check out all those apples still on the trees! We plan to return this Sunday afternoon while the open house is in progress.
Naturally we brought home some and Debbie prepared a nice centerpiece on the dining table, with Chestnut apples on the top plate and Paula Red apples on the bottom plate. And they're good, too. I don't expect the centerpiece to be there long.

I love orchard fresh apples! I bet Debbie can whip out a great pie! You know the trick to selling a house is the smell of fresh baked brownies so that people feel the warmth of "home" while looking for their new home!
