Wow! What amazing news! The little Ground Hog in Pennsylvania got it right again! Before the sun ever came up this morning the little guy saw his shadow and confirmed that it would be six weeks until spring time. Of course, the folks down south will already be using the sun tan lotion before then, and for us in MN it will just be another month or so after that until the spring thaw begins.
I had to skip my annual Ground Hog Sandwich for breakfast this morning. I'm enjoying my downward trend on the scales and ground hog sandwiches would not help that at all. So I'll wait until next year.
It's a bright sun-shiny day here in Elk River today -- the fresh snow is glistening white but will probably decrease some as the temperature soars into the upper 30's today. But if any is left we'll keep it a while since the normal temperatures are set to return tomorrow. More news about that very soon.
