It's Saturday, a warm day for January in Minnesota. The high today was 30, not bad for a time when normal highs are in single digits. I walked a little over 6 miles today, down to the Home Depot, then across through town. I'm still pressing toward getting ready for the Frozen 5K coming up in a couple of weeks.
My Sweet Bride is down South this weekend visiting her Mom down in far Southern Oklahoma in the little metropolis of Grant ("suburb" of Hugo!). So Gabriel and I have made a day of it. After my walk, Gabriel and I went over to our Worship Pastor's home to borrow some firewood for a special class tomorrow. (Focus is on "Building Your Own Campfire", in case you're wondering what I'm doing with firewood in an adult Bible class). Maybe I'll tell you about it sometime. And yes, it is Biblically appropriate and essential!
I'll spend the rest of the evening and tomorrow afternoon trying to finish the flooring job down in the basement. It's starting to look good. If I would just stay at it for 2-3 hours I would probably have it finished. I'll post a picture when it is done.
Blessings to you and yours this weekend! My Bride comes home Monday evening -- Happy Day!

Enjoy that campfire, Dad!
Your long walk sounds great!
I usually try for 3 miles per day. I look forward to seeing pictures of your finished floor.
