The Last Saturday of January

Wow, it's the last Saturday of January and I am way behind on posting any notes here. So here's a quick catch-up.

Today in St. Paul is the annual "Winter Carnival Parade", in conjunction with the Ice Festival. Unfortunately we got a lot of warm weather up out of the south and the ice is melting faster than they can carve it. We're thought about going over to the parade -- but when the cold rain came, we decided on other plans.

I'm hoping to finish the basement floor soon. Obviously I haven't devoted myself to it full time, but it's progressing day by day. I've been putting the baseboards back on in the completed areas -- looking good!

February is coming fast -- Ground Hog Day, then Anniversary, Valentine Day, then traveling to Calgary Alberta, Memphis and Toronto, then on to Dallas in March. I'll spend Valentine Day in Calgary, the first time to not be with my Sweet Bride since we met in 1989! But I appreciated their willingness to reschedule the entire series of meetings a week later so I could be home on our anniversary. Not many businesses do that for their people.

I'll be back later this weekend with some pictures. Have a blessed weekend!
