Let the Wedding Begin

The Wedding was held at the Parrish of Santa Maria 'Soledad Torres Acosta', the local Catholic Church a few blocks from the home of Yolanda, Gabriel and Mila. It's a beautiful place of worship.
Shortly after 7:00, the Bride and her Flower Girls arrived in the Wedding Coach and escorted to the church building by her Grandpa.

There is a wedding custom in Colombia that I absolutly love. You probably know the American tradition in which the Groom comes in with the Pastor and stands at the front waiting for his lovely bride to come in.
In Colombia, the Groom and his Mom stand in the aisle about midway to the front with the Groom holding the bouquet of flowers. (In our case, David's Mom was unable to attend the wedding, so Debbie (David's Step-Mom) was invited to have the honor of standing with David).

Mila's Grandpa escorted her to the door, then her brother Gabriel escorted her the rest of the way to her Bridegroom.
When the Bride reached the Groom, her brother presented her to her Groom and said, "I bring you my sister". Debbie responded, "I bring you my son"!
At that point David presented Mila with her Bridal Bouquet, Mila placed the boutonere on his jacket, and then David proceeded to escort her to the altar.
And from there the Wedding Procession continues as we move ahead to a beautiful wedding! The little ring bearer and the two flower girls were precious! By the way, the flower girls do not drop flowers inside. That's all done outside and at the reception.
