Today was our day to go exloring in Downtown Bogota. Here are a few photos to show some of the variety of what we see here. Lots of buses and taxis and motorcycles in the downtown during the rush hour traffic.
The large building is on part of the
government buildings adjacent to the Presidential palace. If you look closely you'll see a statue of Bolivar in front of the building.
This is one of the interesting buildings with such a unique appearance. Check all the flags across the top above the balconies.
We looked up one street in the city and saw the mountain with "The Virgin of Guadalupe" on the top. You can google that and see what it is. We anticipate going up on the mountain to Monserrete (The Church on the Mountain) on Friday. You'll really like those photos from high above the city.
Just had to include one more traffic shot -- love the little taxis. They're mini-vans are REALLY MINI-VANS -- very reduced size. I'll try to get some photos of some tomorrow.
We're having a great time seeing the sights and taking care of the pre-wedding activities. This is a great week.
Blessings to you and yours today!
