This is the day for the annual OU-Texas football game out at the Cotton Bowl at Fair Park in Dallas. We were out there Thursday for our first look at the Texas State Fair. More comments about that in another blog.
This is the only day of the year when I can cheer for the Oklahoma Sooners -- and it's even tough today. I was asking my co-workers yesteray -- those who were wearing those burnt orange Texas shirts -- why it is that when the OU people raise their hand with the "we're number one" finger pointed high that the Texas people come back with the first and little finger. I asked them if that was a confirmation that they are number 2.
I don't think they liked my interpretation.
Oh well, it will be a fun day in Texas for some of the people. For us? Go Cowboys, beat A&M!
By now you no doubt know that Oklahoma beat Texas, 28-21! And the Cowboys came up one point short in College Station TX.
