Back to Six Flags Over Texas

Labor Day weekend was a happy time for us as Jamie and Alli came to visit. They arrived on Sunday afternoon and we had a super evening that included time at the pool and some grilled hamburgers for supper.
We decided to make the trek to Six Flags Over Texas Monday morning for Labor Day. Alli had never been there and Jamie hadn't been there for several years. There are always special and fun things to do at Six Flags, even when they have to shut the rides down due to stormy weather in the vicinity.

I'm happy to report that it never stormed at the park while we were there, but areas just to the west of us in the Fort Worth area really got hammered with heavy storms.

We had just waited through a very long ride preparing to ride the bobsled when they closed the rides. It's too bad they had to do that, but with so many people carrying their lawyer's business cards in their pocket they can't take any chances on inclement weather conditions.

We even made the traditional stop at the big chair where Dad and Jamie could sit together in one chair for the first time in years.

They were having a "Best of Texas" event for the weekend with lots of good down-home Texas music and other fun stuff.
There's so much to enjoy in this big beautiful world! Debbie and I were so happy to have this special Labor Day with Jamie and Alli!
