We've just returned from a fun trip to Atlanta and want to share a few fun times with you. We weren't too impressed with Louisiana along I-20, but once we entered Mississippi the enjoyment started.
We stopped at the Visitor Center in Vicksburg, Mississippi and got some good pictures of the old Mississippi River bridge -- now a walking bridge across the river.

to some of the battles of the Civil War. There is a large Memorial Military Park there -- we didn't get to see it this trip but have it on the plans for our next drive through the area. The Welcome Center at Vicksburg had some historical displays that helped stir up the memories of things read about the Civil War. 
Gabriel's only interest in the big cannon was in finding the shade underneath.
There's much more to come from the trip -- just a little bit at a time.
