Did you know -- there is a great reason to celebrate today!
15 years ago today I asked my Sweet Debbie to become my Bride -- and by now you have figured out that she said "Yes"!
August 30, 1992 was the day -- at the First Baptist Church, Antlers OK. I had it worked out with the Pastor in advance. We were scheduled to sing in the evening service. I sang a solo, then we sang a duet, then Debbie sang a solo -- and then I proposed, right up there on the platform in front of the whole church family. They had been such a sweet blessing to Debbie during her years of being a single Mom, and it just seemed appropriate to me to have that special moment shared with her church family.
I was giving thanks then -- I still give thanks every day for the fact that Debbie said "Yes"!
To God be the glory, great things He has done!

Yes, August 30 is definitely a wonderful date to celebrate. That is the day the most wonderful man in the world asked me to be his wife. He's not only the love of my life, but also my best friend. Thank you, Bill for asking me to be yours.
