Some areas of the battlefield are so beautiful now, though they were places of horror then.
As we explored through the battlefield we came to this very beautiful area of rocks and tall trees. Between the rocks are deep spaces where soldiers could easily hide while waiting for their "enemy".
My Sweet Bride went to the gift shop in the Visitor Center and came out with this "cool" sun bonnet. My Grandma Smith used to wear one of these when out in the yard in the summer time. Debbie says they work very well.
