Friday night was such a special day -- celebrating my birthday by going to a concert with my favorite band, "Denver and the Mile High Orchestra"! I'll start these pictures off with one of Denver and this birthday boy!
Denver really is his name. He's not from that fine city, but was given the name by his Mom when he was born. To carry on the tradition, he said he and his wife named their first-born son "Boston" and their number two child, their daughter, "London". His wife is Amy.
We met the band first when we lived in Minnesota. They did a special concert at Bethel University north of St. Paul MN. We've been fans ever since and saw them again at least 4 more times in MN, and now have been to concerts twice in Texas. The members of the band love the Lord and are highly talented musicians, using their talents for the Lord.
The music is hymns and more, choruses, and lots more, all set in Big Band style music. Absolutely great evening!!
