Return to those "Thrilling Days of Yesterday"

While in Tulsa we drove by my high school (yes, I really did go to school and graduate)!! Nathan Hale High School opened in Southeast Tulsa while I was in the 9th grade in Junior High School. When I graduated I was in the 3rd graduating class. This fall the school will celebrate it's 50th anniversary since opening! (Not the 50th anniversary of my graduation -- the anniversary of the school itself). We plan to be there for whatever will be happening. I've already had the opportunity to link up with a few high school friends on Facebook.

The school is what the Tulsa schools call a "Magnet School" now with specialized studies such as their culinary program. Watch for more news about Nathan Hale Rangers later this year.

The sidewalk outside the culinary area (the Bistro) is lines with bricks where they have an alumni fundraiser with names of grads. Maybe I'll join them as I find out more about it. I know many of the names on the bricks, of course.
