A Great Weekend Begins

16 years ago tonight, February 5, 1993, was a pretty special night. No, it wasn't Wedding Day. That happened the next day on Saturday, February 6.

That night was our rehearsal at the First Baptist Church, Antlers Oklahoma, where Ben Hotubbee was Debbie's Pastor. We met there that evening with all the folks who were going to be a part of our wedding ceremony. Those special folks included Mike Thornhill and his family who came from Round Rock TX, and the one who was then and still is my Best Man, David.

Following the rehearsal we headed to the basement where we had the neatest "rehearsal dinner". It was Deli sandwiches, chips, soft drinks, and "Little Debbie" heart cakes. It's so nice that the "Little Debbie" company makes those each year for our wedding and anniversary. But with a name like "Little Debbie", what else would you expect?! And yes, each year on February 5, we have another evening of deli sandwiches and all the trimmings. Wonderful memories!

I'm so thankful for all God did to lead up to that wonderful weekend. I'm sure thankful for my Sweet Bride!
