If you read Jamie's blog, you probably saw her blog about the catfish restaurant that she and Dale checked out recently. She described it in such precise ways -- a worn out old building that is always full of people enjoying some of the best catfish around. I've seen it for years as we drove north and south along I-35 north of Edmond. I had seen it with crowds of cars packing the parking lot and knew then that it had to be good to draw crowds like that.
Looking at these pictures, you might wonder why there are so few cars. Remember that these were taken about 3:30 on a Saturday afternoon.

We have had a favorite place for catfish for years down south in Paris Texas. And for years we've found no place that could compare to their catfish. Then we found Babe's in Sanger TX -- good catfish, but not great like the Fish Fry. Then Jamie and I tried the catfish at Goldies in Edmond -- BAD DAY AT THE CATFISH FARM!! (Or more likely in the frozen bag of catfish pieces). (Just to be fair, everything else at Goldies is great, but not their catfish).

What's the name of this place north of Edmond? The sign just says "Steak and Catfish Barn". That's good enough for me.
Would I compare it to the Fish Fry in Paris? It might be the closest we've found so far. And we'll surely be going back for more!
