Argyle Police Blotter

Once a month we receive a little newspaper called "The Cross Timbers Gazette" that covers the area including Argyle, Bartonville, Copper Canyon, Lantana and several more small communities. One feature I look forward to is the "Argyle Police Blotter". Here's one from the current edition:

"An officer observed a goose sitting in the northbound lane of Hwy 377. Efforts to shoo the stubborn goose off the roadway failed, as it kept coming back. The officer contacted the fire department and had them bring a blanket to catch the goose.

The goose refused to comply and took off running towards West Front St. That evening, police were dispatched back to Hwy 377 because the goose had returned and was running in circles in the road until a passerby stopped to assist the officer.

The man grabbed the goose and took it to the pond at Country Lakes. No geese were injured during the investigation of this call."

More news as it happens!!!

We've had situations with Canadian geese nesting near the church and actually attacking elderly folks so our facility manager uses bottle rockets to shoo them away (with permission of the city).
