Our relationship started way back in 1998, months before we learned about new possibilities in Minnesota. It all started at Crowe Brothers Toyota in East Tulsa. We first saw our 1997 Toyota Camry there, sitting there all proud with its 36,000 miles and wanting a new home. And it got what it wanted. We took it home that day, with Debbie driving it back to Stillwater, opening the moonroof and waving at me several times along the way.
She made the trip to Minnesota very well -- even got accused of being a "southern car" because it had no rust from the salty roads in the winter. That could no longer be said 8 years later when we moved south again.

With 194,600 miles on it, the little Camry finally wore out and had to be retired this week. In the last week it had consumed (leaked) 9 quarts of oil, with estimates of up to $5,000 for surgery and rehab. So last night we drove it over to Carmax, said goodbye and brought home a replacement vehicle.
I'll have a picture of the new vehicle tomorrow. It's a 2001 Buick Century with 23,300 miles on it. Hopefully it will serve as well as our Camry did. We're happy to have the replacement car, but sort of sad to leave behind one that has served us so well for the last 10 years.

I know how you feel. I always get pretty attached to my vehicles too. Well, I can say that for all I've driven with the exception to the Kia. I even loved my old Pathfinder with all its rust and bad transmission. I'm sure you will fall in love with the new baby soon. I'd love to see a picture of it soon.
