"Good Friday"

Most people think that "Good Friday" happens in the spring -- and by our calendar it really does. But that doesn't have to be the only "Good Friday" we enjoy.

This past Friday was one of those special Fridays, combining the good and the sad and the happy. The sad part was my Uncle Bob's funeral in Owasso. After spending some time with some of my family, I learned that after such a long time of illness it was almost a blessing for Bob to be at peace now.

One happy part for this Friday was knowing that our new grandson was about to be born. So as I headed for Oklahoma in the Camry for my day, my Sweet Bride was heading north in the van, since our schedules were to be very different. She was going straight to Stillwater.

My special part of the day was to spend quite a bit of time with my oldest grandson!! We had some business to take care of, including some servicing on his car and visiting together a lot. I enjoyed that! I'm looking forward to even more good time together!
The evening got even better as we were joined by his Mom for dinner. I won't go into detail about the dinner other than to say I still love Goldies, but will always stick to their speciality -- great hamburgers -- never again their catfish.

(Does anyone know how to spell "BAD")? (It's one of those 3-letter words like our new Vice President-elect spelled when he was talking about JOBS).

I had a grand evening with daughter and grandson, which included getting the news of the birth of the newest grandson. Not bad at all -- Friday with the oldest grandson and youngest grandson. Can't beat that! I'm blessed!
