With several ponds in our neighborhood (it goes with the neighborhood name, "Country Lakes"), we get to see a lot of ducks and geese, some of which live and stay here all the time. With it being sort of cool this week we thought this would be a good time to give a little snack to the geese. We bought a big bag of cracked corn (I'm not sure if Jimmy cracked it and I really don't care) and headed to pond where they hang out.
When we got to the little pond a few ducks were there but
the geese were not seen. But as I started putting out several piles of cracked corn I heard some loud "honking" and saw three big geese honking and coming full speed across the field. They must have sensed some food and came running.

There's something to be said for a genuine goose-down coat.
