It's Wednesday, May 2, and I'm looking for the beach. We came to Miami today, but there's no Miami Beach. No Miami CSI. No Miami Airport. But we're in Miami! OK, so it's Miami Oklahoma. So you figured it out.
After a half day of work to complete a report for an upcoming audit, we headed out for our May trip. We took a side-trip by Hugo OK to check on Debbie's Mom, who is currently in the Hugo Hospital. Please mention her in your prayers -- she is not doing well at all, very weak, just having a tough time right now.
After a short visit we headed northbound through all those "exciting" little towns in Eastern Oklahoma. Antlers(!), McAlister, Eufaula, Muskogee, Wagner, Chouteau, Adair, Pryor, Big Cabin, and finally to Miami, very late at night. We were passing by Lake Eufaula right about sundown. That lake was always a pretty place to be. The shining water in the sunset was fabulous. I wish you could have seen it.
Now, about that exclamation mark next to Antlers. Did you know that next Monday is a very special day. It was the day that set in place a trip a few months later. As my employer at that put it, I went deer hunting and found a keeper. More about that next Monday.
For now, it's time to stop writing, get some rest and get ready for another great day tomorrow. This is a great weekend in progress.
Blessings to you and yours.
