To Cross Timbers Church on Sunday

It's Sunday, December 17, and we got to have our first venture to a local church for worship. Today we attended Cross Timbers Community Church located about 3 miles south of us. This is the church where the son of our very good friends in Elk River serves on one of the worship teams.

The church was somewhat like Northwood expanded to a much larger size. We walked in and there was a Welcome Center with some folks there to greet everyone who came in. Greeters were at each door with a happy welcome. There was a large reception area outside the worship area with hundreds of things to eat -- and every one of them was a Krispy Kreme doughnut! We had one and headed on to worship. Worship time was very good and included a baptism service, communion, lots of good singing to our Lord, and a very good Bible message from the Pastor. We hope to return for one of their Christmas Eve services next Sunday.

We took a couple of pictures this morning, just enjoying the beautiful warm day.

I hope you find a church that you feel happy with and can be involved in like I am here.
