I'm back in beautiful Elk River now -- probably my last time to "come home" to Elk River. This was my last planned trip until after we complete our relocation.
While I was in the DFW airport last night waiting for my delayed flight (hey, it was evening, it was DFW and it was Friday -- 3 things that ensure a delayed flight!), Mike called to give me a quick update about Joanne. He said she still has a long way to go but appears to be headed in the right direction. She might get moved out of ICU today -- I'll let you know when that happens.
I really appreciate their neighbors, David and Jana, who first called to let us know about Joanne's health incident. They have been keeping me up to date even while Mike was at the hospital and unable to visit.
Check back later this weekend. I'll post a picture of our new house in TX a little bit later today.
