Northwood Church in Maple Grove MN

It's been our privilege to be a part of Northwood Church in Maple Grove MN from it's beginning in 2000. Except for a 2-year sabbatical while serving as Interim Pastor at New Hope Baptist Church in the Phillips Neighborhood in Minneapolis, we've been actively involved at Northwood. Since returning to the church after our ministry at New Hope, we've been involved primarily with the greeting ministry.

When the founding pastor left to return to Virginia, God brought us a Godly man from Chaska MN, Brian Doten, his wife Kris and their children. It's been a delight to serve with him, to sit under his teaching and pastoral leadership and to have a wonderful friendship with them.

Our Worship Leader is Mark Collier, a Godly and gifted brother. He writes many of the songs we sing. You can see him sitting at the keyboard during last Sunday's worship service. (It's really not dark in the worship area -- in fact one whole side of the worship area is a window. I just didn't get a good angle with the flash). Debbie sang with the Praise Team until we began preparation for moving to Texas and loved it. Of course, she just loves singing for our Lord anytime she can.

God blessed us with a great church in Minnesota and so many wonderful friends there. Now we begin the next chapter and will wait to see where God leads us in Texas and the new friends He brings to us. It's said that when we walk with the Lord that every chapter is a step up from the last. We'll be there soon. But we're so thankful for these years at Northwood.
