Happy 4th of July!
We're enjoying the evening of this special day in our room at the LaQuinta Inn in Denton TX before heading for Edmond Wednesday for Jamie and Dale's great day on Saturday!
I love the 4th of July! For years I have enjoyed the fun fire works celebrating the birth of our country -- a country that in spite of political issues that seem to be more divisive than they need to be, it's a great country where we still have the freedom to worship and grow in the Lord without fear of government intervention. Yes, there are always problems to deal with. It's our place to stand for what we believe and refuse to relinquish our God-given freedom! Politicians will do what politicians do; Believers must do what Believers are told to do, and one of those vital elements is to pray for our country and our leaders.
I have another reason for loving the 4th of July! It was 17 years ago on this date when I met Grandma Debbie in person for the very first time! What a wonderful day that was -- and it just keeps getting better every day!
Have a wonderful celebration -- and I'll be seeing many of you this Saturday in Oklahoma City!
